About these quails...?

So I have a flowerpot. And it has a plant. A couple of hours ago, I discovered that there was a nest in there with a whole bunch of quail chicks. That's fine and all but I'm worried about their safety. The pot is really tall and the walls are quite high, so its almost impossible for them to get out and impossible for them to get back in. I'm also worried that they might not be able to get water and that they'll die of dehydration. A the moment, I'm leaving them alone, and probably will leave them alone because I don't want to get into any legal problems but.... should I do something? I don't want to look at it one day and find that they're all dead because of something I didn't do.
