Do quail fly away after they hatch?

i would like to know if quail fly away after they hatch i was told that they can fly away at a certain age but come back to visit is this true? we want to hatch quail for homeschooling but dont want to keep them after. if they dont fly away i would like to know now that way i dont buy them to start with
