I am intrested in a paralegal certificate in MI?

I would like to go to oakland univ. I currently hold an associates in business admin. I have three years of title exp. And three in mortgage workout from a national lender. I am now doing litigation but am making nothing. As a single mom...im wondering....will this certificate even help my financial sitution once I graduate? I just can't see getting a bachelors, when a cert from a university takes less time. Plus my past gpa wasn't the best. Advice?????????
