Repossessed car questions? ?
Wondering some info on car repossessions that apply to my friend and the things he told me. He lives in Florida and has a car that he stopped making payments on and doesn't intend on starting again and also doesn't intend on giving the car back. He's moving out of state soon to Deleware or New York or maybe even Maryland. He said he could keep the car and drive it around up there for at least a year. I was wondering how do out of state repossessions work and how successful are they. I was also wondering, since he still has insurance on the repossessed vehicle, can he make claims if he is hit or if he hits someone or what happens if he totals the car? Does he get the money or does the lender get the money for the insurance company? Thank you
